OP updated as per latest court filing (Crytek posted the $500K bond).

Like I said, the bond could have been the whole $2m and Crytek would have posted it.

Notice how they didn't even use a third-party bond service where they pay a small fee for the service to post the bond. They just posted the whole amount. :emot-lol:

It's like a judge giving you a $500K bail and you post the whole amount from your piggy bank instead of paying a bail bondsman 10% to post it.
Star Citizen isn't a game. It's a TV show about a bunch of characters making a game. It's basically "This is Spinal Tap" - except people think the band is real.

It's actually in the filing. The judge basically granted Crytek's request so that CIG can't file sensitive material (e.g. source code) without review; and similarly Crytek can't file sensitive material (e.g. CIG financials) without review. In the end, both sides can dispute what's "sensitive and confidential", but the judge has the final say on that. In fact, she warns them about that in her filing.

Any news ?
It seems Crytek is about to dismiss its own lawsuit. Contradictions in CIG's statments have been pointed.

No doubt the zealots will claim this as a win for CIG. Even though we're unlikely to ever know the terms of the settlement.

OP updated as per settlement.

As I had stated since the very beginning, this was bound to be settled out of court - and my guess is that Crytek got a nice payday.

And they happened to have settled just after the PS4 release of Hunt :The showdown. Which by the way is getting rave reviews.
