Been a while, but was Derek Smart wrong?
« on: June 01, 2020, 07:10:47 AM »
I've just checked back into this forum since being away for ages.

What happened to the "so called" ELE?

Fred.

See "The Extinction Level Event" blog below. Specifically the "THE EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT (E.L.E)" section where Chris himself declared that the game pitched couldn't be made. That solidified my statement regarding E.L.E that's still playing out. And we now know from their own public financials, right up to the $46m + $17m bailout, they would have gun under by now. Funny enough, their own financials showed that as per the "90 Days Tops" comment, I was right - this whole time.

Star Citizen isn't a game. It's a TV show about a bunch of characters making a game. It's basically "This is Spinal Tap" - except people think the band is real.

Thanks.

ikr. The financials are very suspect. I hope the case would go to Discovery, but I guess that's not gonna happen now. Maybe the FBI will get interested ;)

FBI?  Not a chance.

IRS?  That might be more interesting...

The FBI has more resources and a history of doing corporate or individual ponzi investigations. If not the FBI, then maybe at least the FTC which has also done investigations and subpoenaed discovery of some scams.

Depending on how the whole thing collapses, only the FTC is likely to get involved. And if some investor sues, well that too could have repercussions.
